Spatially localized motion aftereffect disappears faster from awareness when selectively attended to according to its direction
In searching for the target-afterimage patch among spatially separate alternatives of color-afterimages the target fades from awareness before its competitors (Bachmann, T., & Murd, C. (2010). Covert spatial attention in search for the location of a color-afterimage patch speeds up its decay from awareness: Introducing a method useful for the study of neural correlates of visual awareness. Visi...
متن کاملRepresentations of motion and direction.
In 6 experiments, incidental memory was tested for direction of motion in an old-new recognition paradigm. Ability to recognize previously shown directions depended greatly on motion type. Memory for translation and expansion-contraction direction was highly veridical, whereas memory for rotation direction was conspicuously absent. Similar results were obtained in conditions in which motions we...
متن کاملRe-allocation of Tasks according to Weights in Cloud Architecture
Cloud Computing plays an important role on achieving good performance and high system utilization. The goal of a task allocation system is to efficiently manage the cloud computing power of workstations, servers, and supercomputers in order to maximize job throughput and system utilization. There are many issues of cloud computing system which are discussed in this paper in brief. The main aim ...
متن کاملHeight Dependency of Aerosol-Cloud Interaction Regimes
This study investigates the height dependency of aerosol-cloud interaction regimes in terms of the joint dependence of the key cloud microphysical properties (e.g., cloud droplet number concentration and cloud droplet relative dispersion) on aerosol number concentration (Na) and vertical velocity (w). The three distinct regimes with differentmicrophysical features are the aerosol-limited regime...
متن کاملMultifractality of Cloud Base Height Profiles
Cloud base height profiles measured with laser ceilometer are studied using multifractal approach. The irregular structure of the signals is a benchmark for nonlinear dynamical processes. A hierarchy of generalized dimensions determines the intermittency of the signal. The multi-affine properties are described by the h(γ) function.
